Summer is the time to go outside

Summer is just around the corner. The sun is out and the temperature starts to increase. It is that time of the year again where we can go outside from early in the morning until late at night. Strolling from terrace to terrace, drinking cocktails and delicious milkshakes. Finally, we can eat that smooth sorbet or ice cream again! Changing our clothes in our closet from trousers and sweaters to floral dresses and shorts. But then in the morning, the alarm goes off. It is time for work. The happiness disappears and we feel sad.

Why sit in a company all day when the sun is shining outside? No wonder your employees will get depressed or bored or demotivated. As an employer you can change this by taking your employees outside for a change. This can be done in so many different ways. In this article you will find some inspiration to enjoy summer without having your work to suffer from it.

Take your meetings outside

Even though this is not always possible, it is sometimes and you should take advantage of it when you have the chance. In case the meeting does not require a beamer or anything else that can’t be moved, there is nothing standing in your way to pack up and go outside. Go to a park nearby, or if your company has some place to sit in the outdoors, do it there.

Taking meetings outside also creates healthy behaviour and it will increase productivity because people get the feeling they got away from work for some time even if it was a meeting.

Summer equals teambuilding

What better time to go on teambuilding than summer. The sun is out, everyone is happy and there is so much to do out there. You don’t have to look for activities that have to be done inside, you can literally do anything. Ranging from adventurous to easy-going activities. You can either go pick nick, go to an adventure park, do water sports or you can take it a step further and rent a yacht for a day. Take everyone out for lunch Since everyone has to eat anyway, you could all go out together for lunch and sit on a terrace. It will boost the relationship between employees and that is seen as a necessity on the work floor to become a successful business.

So, remember not to get down when you have to work while the weather is great! There are so many options to still enjoy summer during office hours.
